The Bangalore centre's core activities relate to software development for wireless technologies, protocols, signal processing, security applications, broadband modem and industrial process automation, among others.
Infineon Technologies was working with two or three partners in the country, its managing director Thomas Simonis told reporters but declined to name them.
The company was interested in long term partnership and assessing the potential partners, he said.
Eighty per cent of the existing 200 employees were working on software development, 15 per cent on tools and five per cent on hardware, he said.
