The country's second biggest car maker Hyundai Motors will be hiking prices across its model range by up to Rs 15,000 from December end.

The prices would be revised for all models, including flagship Santro, premium hatchback Getz, luxury sedan Sonata and the newly launched Verna, market and dealer sources said.

The price hike has been necessitated due to hike in costs of inputs, the sources said. The exact

quantum hike on each model was, however, not available.

Auto makers have seen their margins come under severe pressure as input prices have been on an upward trend. This has prompted many car and bike makers to contemplate an upward price revision to offset increase production costs.

Japan's Honda Motor's car subsidiary in India has also said it will be hiking prices to match the increase in input costs.
