Anti-theft system in Ford cars

Micro Technologies India Ltd on Thursday said its vehicle security product - Micro VBB was approved for installation in Ford Ikon vehicles.

Ford has permitted Micro Technologies to appoint the existing Ford dealers as its authorized sales outlets, the software developer, informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company would provide training to Ford dealerships for service support which would be offered through these trained Ford dealers and service centers of Micro Technologies in various locations, it added.

Micro VBB is an anti-theft security system with various sensors installed in the vehicle.  This has an emergency alert switch, which detects intrusion of vehicle doors and immediately intimates these events to the vehicle owner's mobile or telephone, it said.

Apart from intrusion intimation to registered user, VBB could remotely give commands and activate mechanical action in the vehicle, simultaneously get confirmation back on the action taken by the system.

The shares of the company were trading at Rs 131.40, up 2.58 per cent at the BSE.
