Telecom major Bharti Airtel's net profit declined for the 11th quarter in a row, dropping by 29.7 per cent to Rs 721.2 crore (Rs 7.21 billion) in July-September this year over the same period last year.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,027 crore (Rs 10.27 billion) in the same period last fiscal, Bharti Airtel said
in a BSE filing.
The total revenues were, however, up by 17.14 per cent to Rs 20,283 crore in the quarter against Rs 17,276.4 crore (Rs 172.76 billion) in the year-ago period.
The company's total subscriber base across services stood at 262.6 million globally at the end of September 2012. The company scrips were trading 2.25 per cent higher at Rs 275.75 on the BSE in early trade on Wednesday.
