An American man has spent $500,000 to equip a 1970 Rolls Royce Shadow with turbo-charged Chrysler Hemi engine, making it the fastest Rolls Royce.
Florida lawyer Tod Weston has fused the car with a Hemi engine featuring a combustion chamber that's rounded at the top, which keeps it from cooling down and slowing the pumping of pistons.
"I guess it was a no-brainer when it came to considering the choice of alternative engine for the Rolls," the New York Daily News quoted Weston as telling a reporter.
Now, the car boasts 1350 horse power apart from nitrous oxide system in the trunk to make it run even faster.
The motors that power the windows and windshield wipers are the only original components of the car.
Weston quipped: "Why drive a second-class car in a first-class world?"
