This winter season fliers may expect less inconvenience because of fog at the Delhi airport as its operator has taken measures to provide flight information on real-time basis and reduce flight delays and cancellations.
"To reduce delays and congestion due to fog, we have devised a plan along with various stakeholders that would ensure smooth flow of flight information on almost real time basis to the passengers," said I Prabhakar Rao, Chief Executive Officer of Delhi International Airport Limited during a workshop on fog in New Delhi.
Passengers would be provided accurate information about flights through Flight Information Display System at the airport terminal.
It would be updated regularly by the Airport Operations Control Centre based on the information given by the airlines, he said.
