How to use the Mutual Fund Trackerrediff.com and Capital Market bring you a simple guide to mutual funds. The mutual funds are classified in two categories — open-ended and close-ended. You can search by the first name of the mutual fund company. If you don't find results you want, then try the first name of the scheme. If there are more than ten results for your query, then you can see the next set of results by clicking 'Next' at the end of the page. You can find out about the stated objective of the fund, its returns in the last quarter, year and three years. The ranking is based on the fund's returns over the specified period at the end of the previous month. The 'Size' is the fund corpus in Rs crore (Rs 1 crore = Rs 10 million). NAV is the the net asset value. In case of close-ended funds, the 'premium/discount' (in per cent) is the premium/discount of the market price to the net asset value. 'Liquidity' tells you how you can sell your units and 'Redemption' lets you know when the scheme is scheduled to be redeemed. A guide to abbreviations used
