Maytas Infra, a company promoted by the kin of disgraced founder of Satyam B Ramalinga Raju, today said its board will meet tomorrow to approve, among other things, appointment of O P Vaish and Ved Jain as directors of the company.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Maytas Infra said a meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on Thursday to appoint Vaish and Jain as directors of the company in accordance with the order of the Company Law Board.
Former ICAI president Ved Jain and noted tax lawyer O P Vaish were named as new board members of Maytas Infra following CLB directing the government to appoint four nominee directors, including a chairman, on the company's board.
The board would also review the present status of the company's overall business among various other items, the filing added.
Last month, the government had sought authorisation of CLB to supersede the boards of Maytas Infra and Maytas Properties, the firms promoted by the kin of former Satyam chairman B Ramalinga Raju, to prevent mismanagement and enable transparency in their functioning.
Shares of Maytas Infra closed at Rs 35.30, up 3.98 per cent on the BSE.
