India shines at Las Vegas Electronics Show

January 15, 2009

For the week, Vegas, where prostitution is illegal, bustled with diverse nationals wearing wireless Bluetooth phones on their ears even as, on the strip, they were seamlessly handed cards promising all services.

Incidentally, to add to the competition for dough, the desert city also hosted the world's largest adult industry event Adult Entertainment Expo, which too concluded on Sunday.

Besides, the nerds had a surprise.

Suddenly in the last few hours of closing, a gentleman came rushing to the security and said, "Don't challenge him."

'Him' was singer Steve Wonder along with a few tall and heavy men.

Later, the bespectacled, elderly security man said, "The person who asked me not to challenge the men is my boss. At times, it can turn nasty."

Recession too has been nasty, but the show did go on.
