The Wall Street plunged yet again amid fears of a deeper recession in the US. The Dow Industrial Average index rallied 172 points to 8,691. The Nasdaq was down 12 points at 1,604.
The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Tata Communications zoomed 10% to $18.45, and MTNL soared 9% to $3.16.
HDFC Bank rallied over 4% to $60.54. Infosys and ICICI Bank advanced nearly 2% each to $25.86 and $14.39, respectively.
On the other hand, Tata Motors tumbled 10% to $4.35. Wipro plunged over 4% to $7.19, and Sterlite slipped over 2% to $4.82.
