However, two other popular names -- that of Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer and media mogul Rupert Murdoch -- are placed in the bottom half of the list, at 49th and 50th places respectively. They are listed among the wealthiest people in the country with no record of public giving in the past several years.

Conde Naste Portfolio said the donations made by both Ballmer and Murdoch have not been disclosed. The 52-year-old Ballmer has a net worth of $ 15.2 billion, while Murdoch who is 77 years old, has a net worth of $ 8.8 billion.
