French rush to learn Darjeeling Tea secrets
May 26, 2008
Galaud Marjorie, a student from Lycee Bremontier, Bordeaux, in France, is one among the three students enrolled in the learning programme. She claimed that "there is a growing market for tea, especially Darjeeling tea, in France, as across the entire Europe."
"We decided to attend this course so that we could get a peep into the unique Darjeeling Tea which is popular as the Champagne of the East globally. We wish even to explore the land that produces this unique gift of nature and know the people behind it," according to Legastelois Marine.
Students are optimistic that their training at the Lochan Tea Company would equip them with the skills to get jobs in the field of tea marketing in the backdrop of the fact that Darjeeling tea is in great demand everywhere including their own home countries.
