Amancio Ortega

Amancio Ortega (1936-) is a fashion entrepreneur and the owner of Zara.

Hi father was railway worker. He began to work at a shirt stores in Galicia in Spain. He tried out school, but soon got bored and dropped out.

By 1975, he had saved enough to start his own business and began to sell bathrobes that became an instant hit. His store was soon to become the mammoth fashion chain, Zara.

His wealth is estimated at $20.2 billion.
