They ain't humans, but they are smart
The Sommelier Robot is seen with a Guinness World Record certificate at Aizenkobo on March 9, 2008 in Kyoto, Japan. The robot has been developed jointly with NEC System Technologies and Mie University, based upon NEC's robot 'PaPeRo'. This Robot is able to identify brand of wine and the taste by transmitting infrared rays at the bottle and thus recommend which dish would suit the wine. Guinness World Record entered the robot as 'First Robot Sommelier' into their 2008 edition.
