Apple lovers, rejoice! The much-awaited Apple iPhone will soon be in India . No need to cajole your relatives in the US now!

The first week of September will see iPhone's being unveiled in India, in a tie-up with telecom major, Vodafone.

Initially the 8GB version of the much-hyped touchscreen device -- which combines Wi-Fi capabilities with a powerful email client, TV feeds, online music store and map-based location guide -- will be launched.

A good buyer response will most likely bring in the 16GB version next year. Apple iPhone is likely to be priced between Rs 27,200 and Rs 28,000.

Ready to take on the iPhone challenge, Nokia will release its touch sensitive handset - Tube 5800. While only time will tell if Nokia can woo Apple aficionados, with both the gadgets available, gizmo lovers are sure to have a good time.
