Coca Cola said on Wednesday it had not shifted its bottling plant at Plachimada in Palakkad district but was only carrying out some restructuring of plant operations.
Reacting to reports in a section of media in this regard, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Ltd said in a release that it had not shifted its bottling plant from Kerala but was only restructuring some plant operations to place bottling equipment in plants that serve areas with highest demand of its beverages.
As part of this process, one of the three bottling lines from Plachimada plant was moved to another location to allow the company to meet the demand for one-way packages of the consumers in the country, it said.
This change was meant to better serve the retail customers and boost the sales and improve performance, the release said.
"As far as Kerala market is concerned, the company is committed to continue its operations," it said.
