'Management guru' Lalu Prasad's special affinity with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, on Monday came to the fore.
Presenting the Railway Budget for 2007-08, he announced establishment of a 'Railway Chair' at the prestigious B-school for research in railway infrastructure and management.
Prasad, credited with the turnaround of Indian Railways, had been invited to the IIM-Ahmedabad last year.
The railway minister had also addressed visiting students of Wharton Business School.
He also announced that the Railways would be training railway personnel of African countries.
Prasad said the Railway Board chairman had been elected as the first chairman of the Asian Railway Association as also the first non-European President of the International Railway Union.
