44-day-old Akshithaa is youngest PAN card holder

August 13, 2007
Akshithaa's mother, 32-year-old Ranjana, works at the Chennai Port Trust. She too has only one ambition: "I want my daughter to have a very secure life. That is why we decided to start investing for her education now itself. A month after she was born, we even started a special savings plan in Canara Bank which will help her take a loan for her higher studies. We are ordinary working people. We don't have lots of money but whatever little money we have, we want to save for her."

Balamurugan has dreams for his little baby. "I want her to be an engineer."

Although Ranjana and Balamurugan discuss every plan of theirs and come to a decision mutually, she tends to disagree with her husband on this issue. "Yes, he wants her to be an engineer. But I will leave it to her when she grows up. Let her do what she wants to do."

The proud couple plans to keep all the newspaper cuttings of Akshithaa's record to show her when she is old enough to understand the stir she has created as just a 44-day-old baby!
