Stock picks of the day

The market has remained a bit volatile, has moved both ways and has finally ended the day in positive territory. Banks, metals, Capital goods, FMCG, pharma, consumer durables, auto and PSUs have ended positive in varying degrees while IT & Oil sector have ended in negative territory. Volume registered a noticeable increase (read as turnover) while the undertone seemed upbeat.

Sensex (Daily)                                                                               

Last Close - 12366.91, Support - 12308, 12231, Resistance - 12461, 12546

Trading Range - The Sensex opened at 12359.01, moved up to an intra-day high of 12442.82, declined to an intra-day low of 12339.98 and closed at 12366.91.

Review/Outlook - The Sensex has run into some amount of selling pressure at 12400+ levels to virtually give up most of its gains but has still ended the day in positive territory on distinctly higher volume. The movements could remain slightly volatile today with just a mild downward bias creeping in but with strong intra-day support coming in just below the 12339 level, the decline if any could be rather limited in nature while scrip specific movements could be the order of the day.

Last Close – 531.50, Support – 529, 500, Resistance – 621, 699

Trading Range - The scrip opened at 531.50, moved up to an intra-day high of 531.50, declined to an intra-day low of 518.10 and closed at 531.50.

Review/Outlook – The scrip has reflected strength by recovering from its intra-day low and with the indicators looking positive, a further upside seems to be on the cards.

Last Close - 496.80, Support - 492, 455, Resistance - 550, 600

Trading Range - The scrip opened at 488.00, moved up to an intra-day high of 504.00, declined to an intra-day low of 478.25 and closed at 496.80.

Review/Outlook - The scrip has reflected strength by recovering from its intra-day low and with the indicators looking positive, a further upside seems to be on the cards.

Last Close - 489.70,  Support - 431, 360,  Resistance - 491, 613

Trading Range - The scrip opened at 474.40, moved up to an intra-day high of 489.70, declined to an intra-day low of 474.40 and closed at 489.70.

Review/Outlook - The scrip has reflected strength by recovering from its intra-day low and with the indicators looking positive, a further upside seems to be on the cards.
