On Monday, Nissan unveiled a new variant of its premium sport utility vehicle X-Trail, 'X-Trail X-Pecial', priced at Rs 24.13;lakhs or Rs 2.4 million (ex-showroom Delhi).
"The new model of X-Trail has been developed based on our existing customers' feedback and we are anticipating a good response from the upgraded version which is being launched in time for the festive season," Nissan Motors India Pvt Ltd Director (Marketing and Sales) Neeraj Garg said.
The company sold 180 units of its SUV last year and is targeting sales of 250 units with the launch of the new variant.
Asked about the company's plans for India, he said the Rs 10 to Rs 14 lakh segment (Rs 1 to Rs 1.4 million) is of particular interest to the company, but declined to comment on the models Nissan planned to bring out on Indian roads.
