Stock picks of the day

The market has moved up virtually from open to close to and has ended the day clearly in positive territory. Consumer Durables, Banks, Capital Goods, FMCG, IT, PSU, Pharma, Auto, Metals and Oil & Gas have ended positive in varying degrees while no sector has ended in negative territory. Volume registered a noticeable decrease (read as turnover) while the undertone seemed bullish.

Trading Range - The Sensex opened at 10617, moved up to an intra-day high of 10742, declined to an intra-day low of 10617 and closed at 10735.

Review/Outlook - The Sensex has reflected strength to create history to once again post a fresh all time high on higher volume and has given an all time high closing to close above the psychologically important 10700 mark. The outlook remains positive as the sequence of higher tops, higher bottoms continues while intra-day support comes in at the 10695 – 10706 levels.
