The opening of new sectors involves huge processes including getting permissions from the airport authorities.

For this the facilities offered at airport bases, the manpower requirements laid down by airport authorities, security requirements, runway infrastructure facilities etc are taken into account.

Air Deccan also said there would be a delay of about 30 days, in flight operations in the Kolkata-Imphal and Chennai-Tuticorin sectors.

Passengers who had made the bookings in advance, could avail a free reschedule to a later date or a full refund of the reservation amount, the release added.
