No final decision has been taken on the deal with private airline Air Sahara, Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal has said.
"The talks on the deal would be finalised only if it is beneficial to our share holders," Goyal told reporters in Indore after launching DNA Money business daily.
When asked about any deadline on the issue, he said, "Talks are going on. It is not possible to divulge more details at present."
On the forthcoming Union Budget, Goyal said, "The aviation industry expects from the government to further rationalise the fuel taxes and provide facilities to the industry at par with the world's leading countries, specially on modernisation of airports."
On fare war in the aviation sector, he said his carrier never believed in fare war and added that instead they focussed more on offering quality services, because of which they have a large number of committed customers.
"The airline also believes in providing good service conditions to its staff, especially the pilots," he added.
