GoAir offers 10,000 free air tickets

Come February 1, with its third A320 aircraft already in place, GoAir -- The People's Airline, a low cost carrier promoted by The Wadia Group, will launch four new destinations: Baroda, Kochi, Pune and Indore, and two new sectors -- Chennai-Pune-Chennai, and Pune-Ahmedabad-Pune.

GoAir is also providing its passengers 10,000 free tickets on its four new destinations as well as two new sectors through the GoAir FreeFares.

Bookings for the GoAir FreeFares have begun and are valid till March 26, 2006 on a 'first come first serve' basis till stocks last.

Passengers availing the GoAir FreeFares would get zero fare and will only have to pay the taxes amounting to Rs 221.

GoAir had previously offered the 10,000 GoAir FreeFares on its Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Goa, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Jaipur routes.

The four new destinations and two new sectors now increases GoAir's route strength to 14 cities and 30 flights per day in India.

Jeh Wadia, managing director, GoAir, in a media release said: "It is with great pride that I announce the GoAir FreeFares Scheme on our four new destinations and two new sectors. With every passing month, GoAir has grown from strength to strength and in the next nine months, we will aggressively look at our route expansion in a progressive manner."

Our services to these cities will enhance business and tourist potential. Passengers can now look forward to affordable fares with quality service as GoAir's main objective is to focus on delivering a quality-consistent, quality-assured and time-efficient product with a smile," he said.

Passengers can make their booking from any of the GoAir outlets that would include GoTravelAgents, GoTataIndicom Shops, GoInlott, GoCyber Cafés, GoCall Centre - (from MTNL/BSNL : 1600-222-111) or (from all phones : 09223-222-111), GoPCOs, Internet and GoAirport Office.

Speaking on the airline's future plans, Wadia said, "Our airline is expanding with every passing month be it routes or fleet. In this regard, our fleet plan is to acquire 7 aircraft by September 2006 and connect to all important cities in India by the end of the year. We are exploring options to commence operations from cities such as Trivandrum, Nagpur, Bhubaneshwar, Srinagar, Jammu, Delhi and Kolkata. However, all of this will be in a phased manner."
