The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking is all set to bring out special tickets during the second Mumbai Festival 2006 under its 'Travel as you like' scheme.
The scheme will facilitate travellers to go across the city for the whole day by using a single ticket.
The unique initiative is aimed at ensuring maximum participation in the 14-day festival starting from January 14.
"A single ticket will be valid for one day and may be used anywhere in the city. To be used by a single person, the ticket will be applicable on all the routes," said Veena Dabholkar, deputy public relations officer, BEST.
At present, BEST runs four types of services: ordinary, limited, express and air-conditioned.
"The special ticket can be purchased for the first three services but for air-conditioned buses these tickets will not be available," she added.
