Naukri.com, India's leading job portal plans to launch the country's first televised reality job hunt show.
To be presented in collaboration with CNBC TV 18, a leading business news channel, 'The Job Show', would provide aspirants a chance to win some of the best jobs in the market even as millions of viewers across the country watch them, a release said in Bangalore on Wednesday.
To be aired every Saturday starting February, in the form of a 26-episode show, the selection will be conducted by two senior management people from the respective recruiting company with Sunil Alagh hosting the show.
Some leading companies, including LG Electronics, Aviva Life Insurance, DNA, will come on board to recruit some of the best talents, it said.
Interested applicants could apply for the jobs following which the applications would be forwarded to the human resource department of the respective company. The companies will then shortlist candidates on the basis of their criteria. Naukri.com and CNBC will announce the names of the five shortlisted candidates, 10 days before the close of the call for applications, it added.
The job show will be presented in a reality format, focussing on strengths of the successful candidates and throwing light on the weakness of the unsuccessful ones, to enable aspirants viewing the show to learn lessons and apply them in real-life job interviews.
