The suspense over the 'Title Sponsor Partner' for 'India Fashion Week 2006' ended on Wednesday with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announcing Wills Lifestyle as the official sponsor for the fashion extravaganza.
FDCI and its marketing partner Percept D' Mark announced ITC's premium fashion brand Wills Lifestyle as the official title sponsor partner for the India Fashion Week for the next three years.
"FDCI is looking forward to its association with Wills Lifestyle hoping this synergy will make new fashion statements," said the Director General of FDCI, Rathi Vinay Jha.
Also present on the occasion was Ritu Kumar, president of FDCI. "We hope to give India Fashion Week a whole new feel with our new partner," Jha said.
"It is for the first time that we will be holding events at two fashion areas, that is in Delhi and Mumbai. Besides, this time accessories will also be showcased along with the textile," Jha said.
"This is an opportunity to gain global recognition. We have a lot of potential in the fashion sector. If exploited fully it can create a number of jobs and benefit all constituents of the Indian textiles, apparel and fashion industry," said Wills Lifestyle chairman Y C Deveshwar.
