Om Bhatt new SBI MD

Om Bhatt, managing director of State Bank of Travancore, has been appointed managing director of State Bank of India.

Bhatt, started his banking career as a probationary officer at State Bank of India in 1972, has held several key assignments at various offices.

He has been the scheme co-ordinator of branch computerisation at SBI central office, regional manager, SBI Jaipur Zone, general manager at Lucknow zone and chief general manager at North East Zone, a SBI release said in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
