Stock picks of the day

The market has had a superb trading session to forge ahead and has ended the day sharply in positive territory. Banks, FMCG, Auto, Oil, Metals, Capital Goods and IT have ended positive in varying degrees while Consumer Durables, Pharma and PSU's have ended in negative territory. Volume registered a minor decrease (read as turnover) while the undertone seemed positive.

Sensex (Daily)

Last Close - 12040 | Support - 12000, 11931 | Resistance - 12100, 12200

Trading Range - The Sensex opened at 11941, moved up to an intra-day high of 12054, declined to an intra-day low of 11866 and closed at 12040.

Review/Outlook - The Sensex has once again created history to not only post a fresh all time high but has also given an all time high closing and on reasonable amount of volume.  The outlook continues to remain positive, as the bigger picture remains quite solid while the intra-day picture seems to have improved once again and an intra-day upside cannot be ruled out - action could come in above the 12054 level.
