FDI inflow hits $7.5 bn in FY'06

Foreign direct investment into India increased to $7.5 billion in 2005-06, up 41.5 per cent from the previous fiscal's $5.3 billion.

Announcing this, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath said he was confident that the same rate of growth would be repeated in the current fiscal, during which FDI inflow is targeted to touch $10 billion.
