Tata Tele aims 10 mn users by FY06

Telecom service provider Tata Teleservices Ltd on Thursday said that it aims to double its customer base to 10 million by the end of this fiscal.

"We are targeting 10 million customers by the end of this fiscal from the present customer base of five million," Charles Antony, MD, Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd said at the launch of their 'Non-Stop' mobile service.

"We aim to touch two million customers mark in Maharashtra and Goa through the launch of new service that offers two years of uninterrupted free incoming calls without recharging," he added.

The new service would be offered through five new mobiles launched by the company on Friday in the range of Rs 2499 to Rs 3999 and allow customers to receive free incoming calls for a period of two years, he said.

Subscribers are free to recharge with any recharge voucher (starting from Rs 50) and use the value till he desires up to for the entire validity period of two years all coming with 100 per cent talk time, he added.
