Stock picks for today

The market has found life difficult and slightly unsustainable at higher levels to end in negative territory. Consumer durables and the pharma sectors have ended positive in varying degrees, while banks, FMCG, IT, capital goods and the PSU sectors have ended in negative territory.

Volume registered a minor decrease (read as turnover) while the undertone seemed hopeful.

Last Close -- 9339.17; Support -- 9274, 9176; Resistance -- 9348, 9500

Trading Range: The Sensex opened at 9349.24, moved up to an intra-day high of 9423.25, declined to an intra-day low of 9272.76 and closed at 9339.17.

Review/Outlook: The Sensex has ended mildly negative and despite making an attempt to overcome the 9400 level, it hasn't been able to do so, has cooled off from an intra-day point of view and in fact has breached the previous trading session's bottom. The outlook is hazy while a range bound movement cannot be ruled out.

Trading Range: The scrip opened at 153.60, moved up to an intra-day high of 160.80, declined to an intra-day low of 153.60 and closed at 150.80.
