A K Purwar, chairman of India's biggest bank the public sector behemoth State Bank of India, picked up the Outlook Money Best Banker Award in the public sector category.
State Bank of India had recently inaugurated its 5,000th ATM in the country (at Visakhapatanam) and is slated to merge its subsidiaries like the State Bank of Hyderabad with itself.
