This is India's most expensive mobike

Kinetic Engineering on October 12 launched India's most expensive motorcycle -- Comet 250 -- priced at a whopping Rs 167,000.

Aimed at the upwardly mobile youth, the limited edition Comet 250 would be sold in select cities, Kinetic Engineering joint managing director Sulajja Firodia Motwani told a news conference.

The motorcycle, booking for which closes on November 20, will be brought from the stable of Hyosung Motors of Korea as completely knocked down kits and assembled at the Ahmednagar plant of Kinetic.

Hyosung Motors is the technical collaborator of Kinetic Engineering.

If the same motorcycle was to be imported, it would have cost a colossal three times the price of Comet 250 as the advantage of lower duties on CKDs would not have been there, she said.
