Pixar Animation Studios is a power to reckon with in the domain of computer animation. It combines creative and technical artistry to create original films.

Pixar has created and produced five of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time: Academy Award-winning Toy Story in 1995, A Bug's Life in 1998, then Golden Globe-winner Toy Story 2 in 1999, and the Oscar-winning Monsters Inc.

In the film, Monsters Inc is the most successful scream-processing factory in the monster world. But when James P Sullivan, or Sulley, accidentally lets in a girl in Monstropolis life turns upside down for him and buddy Mike.

The movie's home video was 2002's bestseller, with earnings at $600 million. In 2002 it grossed about $993 million.

Pixar is located in Emeryville, California, and has over 730 employees. Pixar's five film -- including the Oscar nominated Finding Nemo have earned more than $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office and sold over 150 million DVDs and videos worldwide.

The studio's next two films are The Incredibles slated for November release in the US and Cars, sometimes in 2005.
