Information technology products major Hewlett-Packard on Thursday denied reports that it has plans to outsource to India.
Earlier, Larry Tracy, marketing manager (shared printing organisation), H-P, during the formal launch of the company's 'Second Chapter' in imaging and printing solutions, had stated that H-P is to focus on India as an outsourcing destination in the "near future".
In a clarification statement, Tracy said the company has "no formal plans" to outsource to India at this juncture.
"To clarify outsourcing in chapter two context, in the United States there are customers like Ford, who have outsourced their imaging and printing need to H-P," Tracy said.
The company on Thursday unveiled its 'Second Chapter' and launched an array of products in India, even as H-P was planning to offer IT consultancy services to its clients in the country.
