Private airline Air Sahara on Wednesday launched a credit card with Standard Chartered Bank as part of efforts to improve passenger traffic and boost revenues.
The co-branded 'Gold Card' has features like free travel for companion and children on the airline once a year.
It would also offer three complimentary upgrades to business class every year, five per cent discount on all ticket purchase and access to exclusive Sahara business class lounges at airports, Air Sahara CEO U K Bose told a news conference in New Delhi.
It would also offer personal accident insurance of up to Rs 30 lakhs (Rs 3 million).
The first card was presented to cricket legend and Standard Chartered Bank's brand ambassador Kapil Dev.
Bose said the new card was part of the airline's two-year old partnership with Standard Chartered Bank and would further increase benefits to its passengers.
He said a cricket credit card, launched during the Cricket World Cup this year, now has over 100,000 members.
