INDIA, A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY: 'Tourism,' which is the central theme at the IITF, is being given a major thrust by the Indian government.

To increase its global market share from the current 0.38 per cent -- with total arrivals of 2.64 million -- an aggressive tourism policy has been formulated to market the country as 'Incredible India.'

The policy also looks at promoting India as a safe, exotic tourism and multi-dimensional tourist destination with vast cultural and natural resources.
