Idea Cellular on Tuesday unveiled its revised tariff plans under which airtime charges have been reduced by 43 per cent for the post-paid customers.
For the pre-paid segment, outgoing airtime rate is cut to Rs 2 per minute.
The new tariff plans make incoming calls free from most of the mobile phones while four out the six plans give free incoming calls from both mobile and landlines, a company release said.
Two plans -- Idea 1399 and Idea 1699 -- allow 'non-stop' talk without any airtime charges, while outgoing calls in other post-paid plans drop to as low as 50 paise per minute under the Idea 599 and Idea 999 plans, the release said.
Under the plans Idea 999 and Idea 1699, free STD and ISD call minutes are available, while there is a 20 per cent reduction in ISD on all plans.
There is also 100 SMS free on Idea 1399 plans and free CLIP (caller line identification) and voicemail services for a limited period on all plans, it said.
On pre-paid, where the company claims new tariff plans are 16 per cent lower than other pre-paid offerings in the market, there is an incoming charge of 50 paise per minute from landline or WLL phones, while outgoing charge would be 50 paise per minute for exclusive 'friends and family' features.
Mobile-to-mobile incoming is free from most mobile phones.
Commenting on the revised tariffs, Himanshu Kapania, COO Idea Cellular, said: "Our technology has enabled us to offer competitive and customer friendly tariff plans for post-paid and pre-paid customers on Delhi's network."
