AWARDS AND DREAMS: The President of India's Gold Medal was awarded to Ashok D Raorane (B Tech-Mechanical Engineering) who plans to do an MSc and PhD in nano-technology at the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
He is primarily interested in research and may join an R&D facility.
Will he settle down in the US or return to India? "I would definitely like to come back to India, but the country must have an atmosphere conducive to research. As nano-technology is an expensive field, the government must put more funds into it."
