For agents, the pressure can be immense. Getting customers to buy packages over the phone or dealing with irate callers -- all with a smile -- can get tiring.

All over the office, there are motivational posters to keep the agents going. But that clearly cannot be enough. So monthly, weekly and at times daily incentives are offered to those in sales.

"I could offer them Rs 50 for every sale they make or sometimes Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000 per month as incentives if they reach a particular target. Incentives are what they get based on performance in addition to their salary. They can make a lot of money if they perform well," says Abhinav Mayank, a manager at Infowavz.
