Tata Infotech Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 12.02 crore (Rs 120 million) for the first quarter ended June 30, 2003 as against net loss of Rs 1.13 crore (Rs 11.3 million) in the same period last fiscal.
The total income for the reporting quarter was up by 41 per cent at Rs 138.19 crore (Rs 1.38 million) compared to Rs 97.90 crore (Rs 979 million) in April-June 2002, a company release said in Mumbai on Friday.
Revenue from the systems integration services segment grew to Rs 105.71 crore (Rs 1.06 billion) as against Rs 81.96 crore (Rs 819.6 million) in Q1 of 2002-03, the release said.
The overseas business expenses rose to Rs 34.42 crore (Rs 344 million) in the first quarter of the current fiscal (Rs 25.44 crore in Q1 of 2002-03), it added.
