A-I cancels two flights, reschedules five due to bandh

In view of the bandh call on Thursday by various organisations to protest the terrorist attack on Swaminarayan temple in Gandhinagar, Air-India has cancelled two flights and re-scheduled departure timings of five flights.

Flight AI-352 and flight AI-436, which operate on Mumbai-Kolkata-Guwahati-Bangkok sector and Mumbai-Singapore sector respectively have been cancelled, A-I said in a release in Mumbai on Wednesday.

However, passengers booked on flight AI-436 would be accomodated (depending on seat availability) on flight AI-488, which would depart at 2020 IST, it added.

Flight AI-827 operating on the Mumbai-Abu Dhabi-Mumbai sector would leave nine hour and 15 minutes behind schedule and depart at 2200 IST.

Flight AI-717/716 and AI-837/836 have been clubbed and would operate on the Mumbai-Dubai-Muscat-Mumbai sector omitting Abu Dhabi and depart at 2340 IST pm.

The flight AI-947 operating on Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram- Dubai-Abu Dhabi sector would be eight hour and 30 minutes behind schedule and would now depart at 0130 IST on September 27, it said.

Mumbai-Bahrain-Doha sector flight AI-877/876 would now operate seven hours behind schedule and will depart Mumbai at 1255 IST on September 27, AI said adding, all other flights would operate as per schedule.
