Air Sahara to induct eight jets

Air Sahara is planning a $350 million expansion plan by acquiring eight jets in the next four months.

The first two jets will be joining its fleet this month. This was stated by Air Sahara CEO U K Bose in New Delhi on Saturday. The last of the eight jets would be inducted by January next year, he added.

Presentations were being made by top officials of the two aircraft-manufacturing majors, Boeing and Airbus Industrie, and Embraer of Brazil among others to get a slice of the Air Sahara cake.

The airline currently has a fleet of 10 leased Boeing 737-400s/700s/800s.
