'The Budget says a lot; question is its implementation'

Jerry Rao

Maybe we should stop worrying about Budgets so much. So many decisions get taken between Budgets. Oil Price decontrol, divestment etc.

I do not see anything specifically good for IT. In fact, the confusion on Section 10 a/b might increase uncertainty.

Budget says a lot. The questions is its implementation. If implemented, the agricultural reforms will help rural India. Urban infrastructure development will help the urban poor. But most of last year's announcements are yet to be implemented. Eg. Labour reforms.

Jerry Rao is chairman and CEO, Mphasis BFL.
