Nitish promises 'reasonable' Railway Budget

The Railway Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday said this year's Railway Budget would be "reasonable".

Kumar however refused to elaborate on his department's Budget and told newspersons in Raiganj "it will be improper for me to disclose anything about the Budget."

However, "you can take it for sure that the Budget will be reasonable," he said.

Kumar had come to Raiganj Railway station to lay the foundation stone of Rs 2.16 billion Katihar-Barsoi-Radhikapur gauge conversion project at Raiganj railway station in North Dinajpur district.

The minister said gauge conversion of the 87.85 km line would be given top priority and he himself would monitor the progress of work.
