Sudhakar Gande is new MD of Global Trust Bank

Sudhakar Gande has been appointed as new managing director of Global Trust Bank.

The GTB board of directors, at a meeting on Saturday, cleared the appointment of Gande for the top post. He will assume charge in the first week of March, according to a statement from the bank.

Gande has more than 15 years of varied experience in banking and financial fields and has served in American Express Bank in various capacities for more than a decade. The last position he held was that of senior director of the bank.

Gande is an engineering graduate from Osmania University and has M. Tech.from IIT, Delhi and an MBA (Finance). He brings with him rich experience, both in domestic and international markets in the areas of corporate finance, investment banking, business strategies, debt restructuring, etc.

In the recent past, the board of directors had split the position of chairman & managing director into two different positions: non-executive chairman and the managing director.
