Prices of petrol, diesel, LPG hikedThe government on Friday increased the dealers' commission on petrol, diesel and LPG which in turn lead to a hike in the prices of these products. Dealers' commission on petrol and diesel was hiked by 13.5 and 8.8 paise per litre, respectively. The distributors' commission on domestic LPG has also been increased by Rs 1.02 per cylinder, an official statement said in New Delhi. After the increase in dealers' commission, which takes effect from midnight of November 9, retail selling price of petrol in Delhi would go up to Rs 28.94 per litre while that of diesel would increase to Rs 17.18 per litre. LPG would now cost Rs 223.30 per cylinder. Dealers' commission on petrol has gone up from Rs 47.8 paise per litre to 61.3 paise per litre and that on diesel from 27.7 paise per litre to 36.5 paise per litre. Distributors' commission on domestic LPG has increased from Rs 14.53 per cylinder to Rs 15.55 per cylinder. Petrol in Bombay would now cost Rs 31.90 per litre, Rs 30.67 per litre in Madras and Rs 29.21 per litre in Calcutta. Similarly, diesel would now cost Rs 20.79 per litre in Delhi, Rs 18.65 in Madras and Rs 17.54 in Calcutta. Domestic LPG would be priced at Rs 226.70 per cylinder in Bombay, Rs 229.70 per cylinder in Madras and Rs 246.65 per cylinder in Calcutta.
