We are trying to resolve DPC, MSEB dispute: PMPrime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Wednesday hoped that the Maharashtra government and the US power major Enron's Dabhol Power Company will be able to settle their dispute over purchase of power amicably. Talking to reporters on his arrival in Bombay by a special flight, Vajpayee said, "Under the present circumstances, we are trying to resolve the power tariff issue with Enron." On being asked whether the Centre will purchase power or not, he said that the cost of power as quoted by the company is too high for both, the Centre and other state governments and they will face problems in buying such costly power.
