RBI advances to govt fall in week to
January 19

There were no loans and advances by the Reserve Bank of India to the Union government for the week ended January 19, 2001 compared to Rs 28.36 billion the week before, the central bank said in its weekly statistical supplement on Saturday.

Loans and advances to state governments rose to Rs 58.34 billion in the week to January 19, compared to Rs 47.66 billion in the week to January 12, the RBI said.
